Dr Henry Herbert Lartey, Presidential Candidate of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), on Monday cast his ballot at the Royal International School Polling Station A at Osu Alata, in the Korley Klotey Constituency.
Dr Lartey who arrived at the centre at exactly 10:45 hours, went through the COVID-19 protocols and was done voting by 10:50 hours.
The entire process was smooth and peaceful, with voters at the centre observing all the electoral protocols.
He wished all candidates on the ballot well and was optimistic that the GCPP would emerge victorious at the end of the day.
Dr Lartey called for peace and order in the process, saying, elections were an integral part of democracy and there was no need to fight over one’s choice of candidate.
“Elections are part of democracy which afford the people the right to choose their leaders at any given time, so no one needs to fight over this,” he said.
Dr Lartey commended the Electoral Commission and the political parties for building consensus in the round up of the elections.
