The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has taken a bold step to enhance operational efficiency by launching a 24-hour economic service aimed at streamlining its publishing and printing processes.
Speaking at the launching of the 24 hour operational system on Monday, March 3, 2025, the Acting Managing Director of GPCL, Nana Kwasi Boatey stated that the initiative, which was unveiled at the company’s premises in Accra, is expected to boost productivity, ensure faster turnaround times, and contribute to national economic growth.
Nana Kwasi Boatey emphasized that the new 24-hour service would enable the company to meet the growing demands for high-quality printing and publishing in Ghana.
“The trajectory of the company significantly changes starting from today. This is a bold step towards efficiency and economic transformation. For 60 years, Ghana Publishing Company Limited has played a pivotal role in the company’s development. From publishing government gazettes, printing official documents, legal publications, books, and corporate materials. Our company has been the house of Ghana’s information dissemination.
However, the world is evolving rapidly and the printing industry is not an exception.
The increasing demand for speed, accuracy and digital transformation has compelled us to rethink our strategies.” he stated. “We cannot afford to be left behind in this fast paced technology world. It is for this reason, we have introduced the 24 hours operational system starting today”.
The launch ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, the Minister for Government Communications, Mr. Felix Kwakye and workers.
On his part, Minister Felix Kwakye commended the company’s efforts, highlighting the importance of modernization in government-related publishing. He noted that the initiative aligns with the government’s broader digital transformation agenda and commitment to improving service delivery in the public sector.

The event concluded with a tour of GPCL’s upgraded facilities, where guests had the opportunity to witness firsthand the advanced technology and infrastructure that will support the round-the-clock operations.
With this new service, GPCL is set to redefine the publishing landscape in Ghana, offering enhanced efficiency and contributing to the country’s economic progress.
