A Zimbabwean parliamentary delegation, led by Mr. Alex Masumba, Director of Research, has concluded a knowledge-sharing visit to Ghana’s Parliament, where they engaged with Dr. Gloria Sarku Kumawu, Deputy Clerk for Information Management Services and Acting Clerk to Parliament.
The delegation focused on studying Ghana’s parliamentary research frameworks and exchanging solutions to common operational challenges faced by legislative staff.
Dr. Gloria Sarku Kumawu warmly welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the importance of cross-border collaboration in strengthening parliamentary democracies across Africa.
Both parties engaged in vibrant discussions on improving research methodologies, building staff capacity, and enhancing institutional knowledge management systems.
The visit marks a significant step in fostering long-term cooperation between the two legislatures, with plans for continued exchanges to address evolving governance challenges.
The delegation’s agenda included hands-on sessions with Ghana’s research officers, where they explored practical strategies for data collection, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
Both teams expressed optimism that the shared insights would lead to streamlined legislative processes and enhanced service delivery to their respective citizens.
