The Supreme Court will today start hearing the substantive case of the 2020 Presidential election petition. Yesterday the Court dismissed an application for review filed by the petitioner, John Mahama, in the election petition.
The court noted that the applicant failed to meet the statutory requirement of Rule 54(a) of CI 16 for the application for review to succeed.
The Petitioner prayed the court to set aside its decision of dismissing his application for interrogatories directed at the Electoral Commission.
Mr. Mahama outlined some twelve questions he claimed could help narrow the case before the court but was dismissed on grounds that they were irrelevant.
