The Vice President, Dr. Mahamud Bawumia has stated that he is the best bet to lead the New Patriotic Party to victory in the 2024 General Election.
Speaking to delegates in Suhum in the Eastern Region as part of his campaign tour, he urged them to massively vote for him in the party’s upcoming Presidential Primaries in November to ensure that the NPP maintains power.
Touching on his contributions to the party and government beginning from his appointment as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana in the John Agyekum Kufuor regime amongst others, he described himself as the person with the magic wand to “Break the Eight” for the party.
He outlined some achievements of the government.
To bridge the gap between the government and the grassroots, Dr. Bawumia promised to spread appointments and establish welfare Offices in all Constituencies.
He also campaigned at Abuakwa South, Nsawam Adoagyiri and the Ayensuano Constituencies.
