He commended the MP for the sterling performance and promised to support him in the next general elections.

“I have come to congratulate you for your victory. I think the delegates have spoken and we have to take it like that. The 2024 general elections is our target. I will be part of your campaign for the 2024 elections for John Mahama and the NDC to rescue this country. Congratulations, Doc.” Mr. Sampana said while shaking Dr. Nawaane’s hand.

In the Nabdam Constituency, three candidates including the incumbent MP, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane, Lawyer Lamtiig Apanga and Mr. Francis Zure Sampana contested the bid to represent the party in the 2024 elections.

At the end of polls on Saturday, the incumbent MP won with 303 votes of the 482 total votes cast. Lawyer Apanga also managed 177 votes and leaving Mr. Francis Samapana, an accountant with the National Health Insurance Scheme with only one valid vote.
