Former Mayor for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly in the Mahama administration and flagbearer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress, Kojo Bonsu, has mentioned that if he is given the baton to lead the party in the forthcoming elections, he will run his campaign messages on the legacies of former President Mahama.

Kojo Bonsu is in a tight flagbearer contest with former Finance Minister Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama but has touted himself as someone who has the best vision and capabilities.

According to him, former President Mahama, during his tenure in office as a vice-president and president performed arguably so well that he left great legacies that will propel his campaign message when he leads the party.

He added that though the former President has built good legacies, he cannot lead the party because he will have only one term, which is four years to serve, and that will not be enough for the party.

He said when that happens, it will be a problem for the party; therefore, he stands the chance of leading the party to enable them to stay in power for two terms.
