Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayorkor Botchwey confers with Ambassador of Japan to Ghana, Chizuki Hisanobu

The Ambassador of Japan to Ghana, H.E. Mr Mochizuki Hisanobu has paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey in her office in Accra. The two dignitaries used the meeting on February 7, 2022 to discuss various areas of corporation.

Madam Ayorkor Botchwey expressed gratitude for the numerous corporations between the two countries which has been beneficial to both countries.

“We are grateful for the areas that you have invested in, the area of Agric, health, governance infrastructure also the oversee development assistance.”

Japan has expressed interest in donating some vaccines to Ghana to aid in her fight against covid-19. Madam Ayorkor Botchwey used the occasion to expression appreciation and the country’s readiness in receiving the vaccines

“Also, your interest to donate some vaccines to us we are very ready to receive these vaccines”

The Japanese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mr. Mochizuki Hisanobu was impressed with Ghana’s developmental progress.

“I have observed a lot of developmental progress in Ghana since the last time I was here 10 years ago”.

He congratulated Ghana on her election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council last year and expressed his country’s readiness to cooperate with Ghana when they join the UN Security Council next year.
