Ghanaians are today remembering the passing of former President Jerry John Rawlings, who died on this day two years ago after a short illness at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
There was much grief and sorrow on that day as most Ghanaians received the news of the death of the former president with shock.
Former President Rawlings is best remembered for his forthrightness and tenacity and is seen as a man of the people.
His popularity transcended the four corners of the Country and beyond.
He is the founder of Ghana’s biggest opposition party, the NDC and was in power for almost 20 years.
