A Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency and a key contender in the NPP flagbearer contest, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has declared his intentions to industrialise the popular machination shop in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Suame Magazine.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kessben, the number-slotted candidate in the flagbearer polls hinted at his plans to collaborate with engineering lecturers from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, and engineers from the Suame Magazine enclaves to build cars and other technologically inclined equipment.

According to the ‘Showdown’ candidate, as part of his plans to create jobs and improve employment status among the youth in the country, his administration will improve the portfolios of the Suame Magazine enclave from just engine installations to engine building and manufacturing industry.

He added that the people of the Ashanti Region deserve more than what the NPP government has done for them, owing to the fact that the region serves as a stronghold for the party’s election victories.

In his plans to industrialise Suame Magazine, Ken Agyapong also mentioned that the availability of viable and arable lands that lay untouched in the region will play key roles in the establishment of a tractor assembling plant. He promised to build this assembly plant with the engineers of Suame magazine and student engineers from KNUST.
