As the general election draw closer, many individuals and groups within the country and beyond are making their political choices open.. While some are crossing carpet, others are openly endorsing some political parties and their favorite candidates.

Nabdams from the Upper East Region but living in every part of the Ashanti Region have thrown their weight behind the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. John Mahama.

According to the group, the experience of the former president, his humility, candidness and leadership skills have attracted their attention to declare him the best man to lead the country in 2025.

At one of their monthly meetings at the Asawase School Park in the Asokore Mampong Municipality, an elder in the group, Alhaji Ibrahim Adongo who spoke to GBC News stressed that, the economic hardship is an issue of concern. ”Travelling from Kumasi to Bolgatanga alone is GHc200.00 and above. Why? Prices of foodstuff keep going up. This is unacceptable” she noted.

A Chairman to the Santasi zone Kurug Alexander said, “John Mahama has the ability to understand, analyze and manage the country’s economy when he becomes President. His 24hr economy policy would be a game changer and would help address the unemployment situation in the country. John Mahama and the NDC can be trusted to manage and reset this country.’’

The group has expressed confidence in the Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane for his sterling performance as MP in the last eight years. Vombey Ziba who lives in Bantama commended the MP for the some projects executed in the constituency including the construction of maternity wards at Nangodi and Sekoti, free medical care, building of classroom blocks, drilling of boreholes, among others.

He entreated his colleagues to travel home and vote massively for John Mahama and his parliamentary candidate Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane.
