A legal practitioner and member of the NDC legal team Lamtiig Apanga Esq has taken a swipe at Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia describing his economic management team as ‘area boys.’

In his remarks, he expressed worry that the prices of foodstuff, fuel, electricity, farm inputs and transportation fares keep skyrocketing leaving the ordinary Ghanaian impoverished and wondered the whereabouts of the economic management the vice president is superintending.

Lawyer Lamtiig was addressing party sympathizers at Gbani in the Talensi District during the campaign tour of the NDC flag bearer John Mahama.

“They deceived us that they were going to work for us. It was a deceit. The country is no longer how it used to be. They told us that they had a solid economic management team. What has happened to this team? They are area boys,” Mr. Apanga observed.

Dr. Bawumia in 2017 touted the new administration as a fantastic team, believing in their capability to improve the economy of the country and bettering the standard of living of the people. But almost eight years in office, the cedi is still depreciating at 15.70p to the US dollar with inflation perching at 23%.

However, Lawyer Lamtiig asserted that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has failed and should not be voted as president. He believes that John Mahama and the NDC are a better alternative to govern the country.

“John Mahama is bringing the 24-hour economy to create more jobs for the youth and the working class. Don’t let the NPP deceive you again like they did some years back. We are going to win. The NDC has worked and will continue to work. The NDC has done a lot in the past and will do more. Let’s come out in our numbers on 7th December and vote for John Mahama as president and Daniel Mahama as Member of Parliament for Talensi,” Lawyer Apanga pleads.
