Prominent Ghanaian international evangelist, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, has shared his perspective on the outcome of Ghana’s elections, attributing the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) significant victory to the controversial LGBTQ+ debate.

Speaking on the GTV Breakfast Show, 16 January 2025 with Kafui Dey. Dr. Tetteh stated that moral and cultural concerns played a decisive role in influencing voters.

“Ghanaians voting massively for NDC was based on LGBTQ, ” he said.

According to him, many Ghanaians see the LGBTQ+ discourse as a threat to the country’s deeply rooted cultural and religious values. He argued that the NDC’s perceived stance on the issue swayed the electorate, particularly those who view the LGBTQ+ agenda as contrary to Ghanaian traditions.

“The average Ghanaian is very sensitive when it comes to moral and cultural values. This election was not just about infrastructure or development; it was about preserving our identity as a people,” Dr. Tetteh explained.
