Renowned political and women’s rights activist Ama Pratt has expressed her support for President John Dramani Mahama’s recent appointments, particularly highlighting the inclusion of women in key leadership positions.
Speaking on GTV’s Breakfast Show, Pratt emphasized the competence of the appointed women, applauding their consistent track records and proven abilities.
“All of these women have proven themselves over time, on paper and on the ground,” she said, underscoring the growing optimism about President Mahama’s commitment to promoting women’s empowerment and inclusive governance.
Her sentiments were echoed by Dr. Ekua Amoako, a member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) communications team, who also praised the progress of women in politics.
“Rising through the ranks of political organization is not easy, and these women deserve to be commended,” Dr. Amoako said.
The appointments have been widely regarded as a significant step toward fostering gender equality and encouraging greater female representation in leadership across Ghana.
