President John Dramani Mahama has embarked on a two-nation tour of The Gambia and Senegal, aiming to deepen ties with Ghana’s West African neighbours.
The visit also serves as an opportunity to thank Presidents Adama Barrow of The Gambia and Macky Sall of Senegal for their attendance at his Presidential inauguration on January 7th.
The President’s tour underscores his commitment to fostering closer relationships with Ghana’s neighbours in the subregion.
During his engagements, President Mahama extended his appreciation to the leaders of both countries for honouring Ghana’s inauguration ceremony with their presence.
This diplomatic mission is part of President Mahama’s broader agenda to promote collaboration, unity, and regional integration.
Discussions with the two leaders are expected to address mutual interests, including trade, security, and strengthening bilateral relations.
President Mahama is scheduled to return to Ghana later today, concluding his visit in Dakar, Senegal, after what is anticipated to be a successful engagement with his counterparts.
