The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled a new initiative, the “Teacher Dabr3” project, aimed at providing quality housing for teachers if elected in the December 7 elections.
“Teacher Dabr3,” meaning “Teacher’s Resting Place” in the local dialect, represents a vision to build comfortable accommodations within or near new school buildings across Ghana, supporting educators and enhancing their quality of life.
The project targets teachers, especially in underserved areas, ensuring they have secure, accessible housing that fosters a supportive work environment. The NDC believes that by improving living conditions for educators, it can boost morale, attract skilled professionals to the teaching field, and ultimately enhance productivity in schools nationwide.
John Mahama emphasizes that the Teacher Dabr3 project reflects his commitment to Ghana’s educators, underscoring his vision of a unified Ghana where critical public services like education are prioritized for national development.
