Ghana can count on Nigeria for support – President Bola Tinubu

The President of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu, has extended support to the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, and his running mate, Professor Jana Naana Opoku-Agyemang, at their swearing-in ceremony.

The inauguration took place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra, in the presence of national leaders, foreign dignitaries, and thousands of Ghanaians.

In his speech, Nigerian President Tinubu assured John Mahama of Nigeria’s unwavering support.

“Ghanaians can count on Nigerians for support at any given time.”

Addressing the gathering, President Tinubu expressed his confidence in Mahama’s leadership, stating that he believes the new administration will be a profound success and bring progress to the people of Ghana.

He reiterated that the two neighbouring countries are siblings and will always be there for Ghanaian whenever they call on him.

“We are brothers and sisters and will always be there for him.”

“I’m confident that the new government under the leadership of President John Mahama will work with Nigerians to strengthen the powerful bond leading to greater progress and prosperity for the people of our two nations.”

H.E. Bola Tinubu stated that he has no doubt that John Mahama’s administration will bring about holistic change and progress.
