In a statement addressing recent attacks on state offices and installations, President-elect John Mahama condemned the acts of vandalism and called for swift action against those responsible.

While the perpetrators remain unclear, Mr. Mahama urged the youth to refrain from venting their frustrations through violence, emphasising the need to focus on rebuilding the nation.

“Transitions from one administration to another can sometimes create a sense of power vacuum, leading some individuals to act out of their own interests,” Mahama said. “These attacks must cease immediately.”

He urged all citizens to remain calm and avoid actions that could harm the country’s institutions and democracy, calling for unity and collective efforts to build a stronger Ghana.

Additionally, he urged the current administration and security agencies to take decisive action to restore order and halt the lawlessness.
