Co-Chair, Citizen Movement Against Corruption, Edem Senanu, urges the special prosecutor to mention names of individuals and state institutions refusing to support his work.
According to Mr. Senanu,t here are technocrats within these institutions who are behind the scenes and making the work difficult for Mr. Amidu based on their own hidden agenda to enrich themselves and this calls for an investigation.
He said, the president is interested in fighting corruption, he appoints based on his credibility and with good intentions, but we cannot say the same for the rest of his appointees. since they are not showing much concern when it comes to the fight against corruption.
Mr. Senanu therefore urged Mr. Amidu to proceed with his work and should not worry about any political witch hunting since majority of Ghanaian are behind him.
Speaking on Uniiq FM’s show, “Focus”, a Governance Expert, Prof Emmanuel Asiamah on his part said, he was not surprise that Mr. Amidu came out to air his major challenges hampering his work to the public since the Government is not ready to listen.
