In a decisive move to enhance governance efficiency, the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation (MOCDTI) has initiated a comprehensive human resource restructuring.
According to the statement released on February 15, 2025, this initiative aligns with the President’s broader vision to reset Ghana’s governance framework and improve service delivery within state institutions.
At the helm of this transformation is the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, who has taken proactive steps to realign the Ministry’s workforce to meet evolving demands.
As a preliminary measure, the Minister previously requested the CVs of all Directors and senior management personnel, signaling a strategic review of leadership roles and responsibilities.
The first phase of the restructuring has already been implemented, impacting key agencies, including the National Communications Authority (NCA) and the Ghana Digital Acceleration Programme, which operates in partnership with the World Bank. These changes are expected to optimize operational efficiency and position these agencies for greater impact in Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.
While the initial adjustments have taken effect, further restructuring across the Ministry and its affiliated agencies is anticipated in the coming weeks.
The Honourable Minister has extended gratitude to all staff for their dedication and contributions to national development. In a statement, the Minister acknowledged the efforts of the workforce and expressed best wishes for their continued and future professional journeys.
