Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu and Ranking Member of Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has reignited the call for the suspension of the National Cathedral Project.
He said exactly a year since the project was abandoned by Contractors, the envisaged monument has already become a white elephant as construction is at a standstill.
Mr Okudzeto added that, per the contract signed, whether the project goes on or not, government would have to be paying the contractors and so a cancellation of the project at this time would be most appropriate.
He was speaking at a news conference in Parliament.
