The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has dismissed 18 of its members for filing as independent parliamentary candidates in the December 7, polls.
The affected individuals are from 11 regions across Ghana.
General Secretary of the Party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah in a statement said, the 18 forfeited their membership the moment they filed nomination with the Electoral Commission as independent candidates.
Mr. Asiedu Nketiah ordered those in question to handover all party property in their possession to their respective constituency secretariats.
He cautioned that, the dismissed persons, henceforth, desist from using any paraphernalia of the party and its flagbearer’s name in their campaign.
