NDC flips parliamentary seat at La Dadekotopon

The NDC has flipped the Parliamentary seat at the La Dadekotopon Constituency.

The party lost the seat in the 2016 elections to the then NPP candidate, Vincent Odotei Sowah after three terms in office.

The 2020 elections have however seen a turn in events, as the NDC’s candidate Rita Odoley Sowah won with 47,606 votes, whiles the NPP’s Joseph Gerald Tetteh lost with 41,101 votes.

The NDC also won the Presidential slot with 48,733 votes, while the NPP had 39,951 votes.

After more than 15 hours from the official close of the polls, at the various polling stations within the constituency, the Electoral Commission Official, Seth Akwasi Osei announced the results at the Collation Centre at the Labone Senior High School.

The MP-elect, Rita Odoley Sowah gave the assurance that she will work assiduously to transform and bring the needed development to the people.
