The NDC has reaffirmed its commitment to prioritizing national security as it prepares to implement its flagship 24-hour economy policy.

To achieve this, the party has outlined a comprehensive security plan, which includes, recruiting 25 thousand additional security personnel to bolster the nation’s security forces, introducing community policing initiatives to foster closer collaboration between law enforcement and local communities, and upgrading ICT infrastructure to enhance intelligence gathering and sharing capabilities.

Again, the NDC pledges to establish specialized hospitals for security personnel and veterans, recognizing their unique needs and sacrifices.

At a media briefing by the party’s 2024 manifesto sectorial spokespersons in Accra, the spokesperson on security, Peter Lanchene Toobu, emphasized the party’s dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of both citizens and security personnel, paving the way for a secure and thriving 24-hour economy.
