Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Brigade clashed with police at the Finance Ministry on Wednesday, September 4, during a protest against alleged financial mismanagement under the Akufo-Addo-led government.

The cause of the chaos is currently unknown.

The group’s protest aimed to demand accountability and the recovery of funds allegedly misappropriated in questionable transactions, including:

The US$34.9 million Ambulance Spare Parts contract, The GRA-SML deal, Expenditures related to the All-African Games.

Emphasizing the need to restore public confidence, the members called for a thorough investigation into these transactions to ensure that public funds were used appropriately.

They also demanded full disclosure of the expenditure for the 2023 All-African Games.
