NDC has track record of delivering on its promises – Prof. Opoku-Agyemang

The Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on Friday 27th November, 2020 interacted with the supporters of the party at the Mikado conference center and reassured them of the party’s commitment on delivering every promise made to Ghanaians when the NDC win power in the upcoming general elections.

The programme organized in Accra, targeted youth in various fields of work and those who attended were there to listen to the NDC’s polices outlined in the People’s Manifesto for the youth.

They were made up of the Kaayaye’s, Okada riders, Artisans, other groups.

The leaders of the group took turns to talk about their challenges. Key was the provision of sustainable jobs and skills.

Addressing them, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang said the NDC has a track record of delivering on its promises and therefore the next NDC government will ensure its implements its flagship policies and programmes in Peoples Manifesto for the benefit of all.

She used the opportunity to show electorates how to vote and caution the youth not to jeopardize with the country’s peace.

The leader of the Kayayei Association of Agbogboloshie, Rukiaya Abdallah recounts some challenges they face and pledged her members support to Prof. Opoku Agyemang.

She appealed with the the NDC to provide them the requisite skills when it gets another opportunity in government.

The Artisans comprising masons, labourers carpenters and okada riders also asked for their share of the national cake when the NDC is elected.

The Vice Presidential Candidate of the NDC, said most of the policies spelt out in the people’s Manifesto focuses on the youth.

She said the unique nature of the inclusiveness of all in the manifesto is key to developing the nation.

Policies like the One million jobs under the big push, the two years tax holidays for new startup businesses and youth in Apprenticeship Programme among others are geared towards creating sustainable jobs and better livelihood.

Addressing the youth in dialogue in Accra, Prof Opoku Agyemang urged them to vote for the NDC come December 7.
