NDC lauded for smooth parliamentary primaries

Lecturer and Political Analyst, Zakaria Tanko Musah has said the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) must be applauded for working to ensure an incident free primaries.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Mr. Musah said the outcome of the primaries is a clear indication, that the electorate have become sophisticated and cannot be taken for granted.

He said the loss of the MP for Wa West, Joseph Yileh Chereh in the primaries will affect the party’s performance in the next Parliament.

On the calibre of people who have been elected to contest the Parliamentary seats next year, Mr. Musah said the NDC must ensure the candidates are effective and efficient enough, to do the work in Parliament.

He asked the NDC to quickly look at the margins that cost some of the candidates their seats as it is an indication of division in those constituencies.
