Some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region, this afternoon besieged the Regional Headquarters to register their displeasure at the replacement of Haruna Iddrisu as the Minority Leader in Parliament.

The supporters of the party say the reshuffle, which affected the leadership of the party in Parliament, is a strategy to sabotage the MP for Tamale South Constituency.

A letter signed by the General Secretary of the NDC, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey and copied to the Speaker of Parliament named the Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency in the Central Region, and the Ranking Member of the Finance Committee, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, as the replacement for the Tamale South MP.

The development is, however, threatening to cause mayhem in Tamale. The Tamale South Constituency Chairman of the NDC, Alhaji Rauf Sumani has been explaining their displeasure to the media.
