NDC to carefully select and train party agents ahead of 2024 election

Former President, John Mahama says the National Democratic Congress NDC has plans to collate the 2024 Election results electronically.

According to him, this will afford the party the opportunity to gather firsthand information on the outcome of the elections.

Again, Party Agents across the country will be carefully selected and trained to be effective in their roles.

Mr. Mahama was addressing Branch and Constituency Executives from Sunyani East and West to wrap up his two-day tour of the Bono Region.

Former President John Dramani Mahama was in the Bono Region to officially declare his intention to contest for the flagbearer position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) after a similar visit to the Bono East Region.

Mr. Mahama began his tour from the Wenchi Municipality and made stops at Banda, Berekum, Drobo, Sampa, Nsakaw and Dormaa Ahenkro. At all these places he addressed branch and constituency executives.

Rounding of his tour in the Sunyani Municipality, Mr. Mahama said government is to blame for the mismanagement of the country due to the excessive borrowing and not the Russia-Ukraine war.

He said, when the NDC was in power, the country’s debt was around 120 billion but now it has skyrocketed to almost 600 billion.

He said, the 2024 election will be a Boot for Boot affair as the NDC will match the NPP squarely during the elections.

He said, NDC will collate the 2024 election results electronically to afford them firsthand information on developments at the polling stations.

He promised party faithful his support and logistics for them to work effectively. Mr. Mahama also urged party members to unite after the primaries and work hard to secure victory in the 2024 elections.
