The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is expected to hold memorial lectures today at the Kama Conference Center in Accra in memory of its founder late former President Jerry John Rawlings.

This was confirmed to GBC’s Radio Ghana by the National Chairman of the Party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo at a vigil held in his honour.

Speakers for the lectures include former General Secretary of the NDC, Alhaji Hudu Yahaya and Former Minister of Defence Benjamin Kumbour.

Today’s lecture by the NDC does not form part of activities lined up by government towards the burial of the late former President.

However, Mr. Ofosu explained that the memorial lectures form part of the party’s contribution to the burial of its fonder.
