Founder and Leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame, has accused the Electoral Commission (EC) of deliberately sabotaging his bid to register on the ballot paper for the upcoming December elections.

He asserted that there have been continuous cancellations and obstructions throughout the registration process, suggesting that these actions are a coordinated effort to prevent his party from participating in the elections.

“There have been a lot of cancellations and blockages in my bid to register on the ballot paper. It looks like it’s sabotage,” he stated firmly.

He made these statements in a press briefing to officially announce his bid to run for president as an Independent Candidate on Friday, July 12, 2024.

The New Force Movement leader expressed his frustration with the ongoing difficulties but emphasised his party’s determination to overcome these obstacles. “We will not relent until we are registered on the ballot paper for the December elections,” he declared.

The New Force Movement, a relatively new player in Ghanaian politics, has been gaining traction with its promises of radical change and innovative policies. The leader’s announcement of his presidential bid as an Independent Candidate marks a significant moment in the party’s journey.
