The National Patriotic Party has responded to Alan Kyerematen‘s resignation from the party.
The General Secretary for the NPP, Justin Frimpong Kodua, mentioned at a press conference that their conference was not held to run Alan down but to correct the erroneous statement of his.
The General Secretary mentioned that Alan’s decision to hold a press conference without informing the leadership of the party suggests an irrevocable decision to resign.
He also mentioned that, the leadership of the NPP strongly disagrees with Alan’s assertion that the party has been hijacked by party officials.
He stated that the NPP will win the 2024 general election because they are capable of winning.
Mr Justin Frimpong also stated in the press conference that the NPP acknowledges Alan’s contribution to the growth and development of the party over the years.
He also mentioned that, they respect his decision to resign and extend their gratitude for services rendered to the NPP and mother Ghana.
Stephen Ntim, the National Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, also concluded by stating that, it took him 21years before he became the National Chairman for the Party, and therefore Alan could have been a little patient.
