The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, has been tasked by the NPP hierarchy to remove by now, all unauthorized billboards mounted by some Party National Executive aspirants at certain strategic locations in Kumasi prior to the Party’s National Delegates Conference at the weekend.
According to the Regional Minister, such persons have in their own interest been advised through a statement by the Party’s Director of Communications to remove them by the deadline, failure of which, he will be compelled to remove them.
Speaking to journalists in Kumasi, Mr. Osei Mensah said so far security arrangements have been made by the Regional Security Council as well as the Conference Sub-committee on Security to ensure a successful conference.
Concerns have been raised by the Party hierarchy including Founding Members over what they consider to be a show of complete disregard of Party directives with the mounting of such highly expensive billboards at all entry points to the City, prior to the Conference.
