Head of Security Committee for the NPP’s National delegates congress, Henry Quartey has given the assurance of a successful congress.

Speaking to the media at the Accra Sports stadium, he said everything has been done to ensure the safety of all persons at the congress.

He also indicated the Party has done enough to break the eight.

The NPP is expected to elect new National Executives at its delegate’s conference by mid-night.

This event is crucial for the party in its quest to ‘break the eight’.

About 6,000 delegates from various constituencies across the country have converge at the Accra Sports stadium to elect their executives who will steer the affairs of the party in the next four years.

Minister of Defence, Dominic Nitiwul says the NPP will be judged by its achievements and other things it intends to accomplish.

He said it will not be wise to predict the outcome of the 2024 elections, but what is important is the judgement of Ghanaians based on what the government has done with the resources available.

Mr Nitiwul admits that times are hard not just for Ghana but globally, so Ghanaians will be the best to determine if the Party can break the eight.
