The New Patriotic Party has announced to members that nominations have been opened for the contest of the Sunyani East Constituency Parliamentary primaries.
The party announced through a presser that, the nomination forms will be bought at a non refundable fee of GH¢3,000 with a filing fee of GH¢35,000.
However, Women, Youth and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) who wants to aspire to a higher political office will enjoy a 50% rebate on the filing fees.
This means they will be required to pay a non-refundable filing fee of seventeen thousand and five hundred Ghana cedis (GHC 17,500.00).
In addition the party also announced that, all Aspiring Parliamentary Candidates other than the sitting Member of Parliament shall pay a Party Development Fee of forty thousand Ghana cedis (GHC40, 000.00).
It further cautioned that no Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate shall be denied access to purchase Nomination Forms.
