The first-time Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the governing New Patriotic Party, for the Amasaman Constituency in Greater Accra, Yahya Kassim Atta promised to retain the seat for the NPP come December, 7.

He promised to secure not less than 75% of the total votes based on the fact he has been working day and night in the constituency for votes.

He said, his chances of winning to retain the seat for his Party “is very bright” by adding that, “it is possible because indeed I have done so many things, in Amasanman, our greatest challenges is the road network but as at now I have bought a Grader Machine, I have bought Wheel Loader, Back Hole Machines and Two Tipper Truck purposely for the reshaping of the inner city roads in all the 17 Electoral Areas.

Mr. Kassim Atta disclosed this, when spotted in the night at Katapor in Dedeman electoral Area conducting house-to-house campaigns.

According to him, reshaping the bad roads in the area will help both commuters and drivers to spend less time and money working or using the road for their daily activities.

“As we speak, The road from Pokuase through Katapor to Dedeman has been awarded, whereas the contractors are on sites working the roads from Ablekuma to Dzoman, Ablekuma to Nsakina, Sasam Junction to Gornor Electoral area as well as Median Junction to Kokoku”, he added.

Few weeks ago, Mr. Kassim Atta launched his campaign purposely to motivate his supporters and his team members to take the message to all electoral areas in the constituency and ensure that they break the 8-year cycle.

He emphasized that his goal is to retain the Amasaman seat and secure more votes for both himself and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, with the aim of making history as the first Muslim MP and President of the Republic of Ghana.

“We can achieve this because there are no enemies among us. We are all NPP, moving forward together. So let’s unite once again this year to work for a win,” he added.
