The Presidential Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party has reached a consensus on the modalities for the conduct of the November 4 Flagbearer election.
In a press statement signed by the Secretary of the Presidential Election Committee for the Party, William Yamoah, the party on September 13, 2023 met with the four aspirants Ken Ohene Agyapong, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Francis Addai Nimo for the Party’s presidential primaries to agree on the modalities for the conduct of the election.
After a successful collaboration with the Electoral Commission, the Contestants balloted for their positions on the ballot paper with the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia picking the number two slot and Ken Ohene Agyapong picking the number one slot.
According to the Press Statement, the party will release the details of the agreed guidelines and modalities in due course.
