NPP Super delegates congress: Voting delayed in Bono East

Information coming in from the Bono East regional branch of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, indicates that none of the 34 delegates who are mandated to cast their votes during the Party’s Super delegates conference had shown up at the voting center as of 9:32 a.m.

The NPP Special Electoral College was slated to start at 7:00 a.m. on August 26, 2023, at all 17 designated polling centers across all 16 regions of Ghana.

Unconfirmed reports have it that some delegates are being camped in unknown places by some presidential aspirants.

The camping of delegates is not happening only in Bono East but in other places like Tamale in the Northern, and Central among others.

The Saturday, August 26, 2023, Super Delegate Conference is to elect five presidential aspirants from the ten candidates who have gone through vetting and have been certified to contest today’s exercise.
