The running mate of the NDC, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has urged all eligible Ghanaians to prioritize participating in the Voter Exhibition which is taking place from the 20th to the 27th August 2024.

She emphasized that this is important for voters to ensure that their information is correctly recorded in the Voter Register, enabling them to support the NDC in the December 7 general election.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang made this appeal during her visit to the Mallam Market in the Ablekuma North Constituency, Accra, as part of her Better Ghana Agenda campaign, which focuses on empowering women.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang began her market tour last Thursday, visiting three major markets including the Mallam Atta, Kaneshie and Makola markets. Her interactions with market women have centered around addressing their concerns, with a strong focus on improving their businesses and livelihoods.

She continues her tour in the Ablekuma North and Okaikoi North Constituencies.

During her interaction with the traders at Mallam Market, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang reassured them of the NDC’s commitment to initiatives such as the 24-hour economy policy, aimed at job creation, and the establishment of a Women’s Development Bank, which she described as a transformative institution that will offer low-interest loans and flexible payment options to support traders and other businesses.

She also promised the establishment of modern markets to ease the burden on traders, especially women.

As part of her campaign, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang is expected to continue her market tour, reaching out to more traders and outlining the NDC’s vision for Ghana’s future.
