The running mate of the National Democratic Congress, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has emphasised the importance of empowering women through financial support and skill training for them to be able to contribute to the local economy.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, while addressing traders at the Madina Market in Accra, said that due to women’s potential to help grow the local economy when given the needed support, the next NDC government will prioritise women’s fronts, whereby women are adequately resourced financially and in skills training for national development.
She urged them not to disappoint the NDC in the December polls by voting massively for the party to be able to implement its life changing policies to transform the Ghanaian economy and bring relief to the people.
The NDC donated 50, 000 cedis to support victims of the market fire outbreak that destroyed many stores in the market.
