Parliament has begun taking Reports from the various Committees on the Budget Estimates for the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies for the 2022 Financial Year.
The Report on the estimates for the Electoral Commission was however deferred because the Chairperson of the Commission, Jean Mensah failed to appear before the Special Budget Committee.
Vice Chairman of the Committee and Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu disclosed that when the Committee met to consider the estimates for the EC, only the Deputy-Chairpersons turned up.
The Committee however insisted that the Chairperson must come personally to defend her Budget.
