Parliament to begin vetting of Ministerial Nominees on February 10

The Appointments Committee of Parliament will start vetting of Ministerial nominees from February 10, 2021.

According to the Ranking Member of the Committee, Haruna Iddrisu, priority will be given to the scrutiny of some appointees such as the Minister-nominee for Health due to the current COVID-19 situation in the country.

Speaking on the Floor of the House today, the Minority Leader indicated that the Committee will invite memoranda from the public on the nominees soon as stipulated by the Constitution ahead of the vetting process.
