The Chairman of the National Peace Council, Rev. Dr. Ernest Adu-Gyamfi, says it is important that the Council continues to engage the political parties to commit to the peace agreement.
He said when the political parties including the two major parties, NDC and the NPP come together to promise to uphold the country’s peace and stability, it helps the citizenry to calm down and enhance a smooth electoral process before, during, and after the elections.
Speaking to GBC News, Rev. Dr. Adu-Gyamfi said ”NDC’s decision not to sign the peace pact, raises concerns about its relevance in dealing with electoral violence”.
