National Chairman of the larger opposition party, National Democratic Congress, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, says the NDC manifesto is drafted to raise living standards of every Ghanaian.

According to him, in the Manifesto, “the NDC has laid out extensive plans for taking the country forward to a better position, not only to restore what Ghanaians have lost, but more importantly, to raise the living standards of every Ghanaian”.

Addressing hundreds of the party supporters in Accra during the 2020 manifesto launch, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo stated that “People’s Manifesto” has been prepared with the
ordinary man and woman on the street in mind.

“You will find the language simple and unambiguous; the policy proposals also are so simple that everybody can relate to them”, he emphasized.

He added that, “we the citizens of this noble country are now at a critical juncture and we cannot “sink any further than we have. We are at rock bottom”.

Mr. Ampofo described the incumbent government as “confused and exhausted.” He therefore, called on all to go to the polls in December 7 and, “with one big push, rescue Ghana and Ghanaians from this affliction. Enough is enough”.

The NDC 2020 Manifesto has been divided into six main themes:

  1. Fixing the economy and uniting against Poverty
  2. Promoting Human Development
  3. Providing Infrastructure for Growth
  4. Sustainable and good jobs (Ajumapa)
  5. Accountability, Anti-corruption and Good Governance
  6. Deepening International Relations and Foreign Affairs.
