The People’s National Party (PNP) has officially selected Janet Nabla as the party’s flagbearer for the upcoming presidential election.

Dr. Edmund Ayesu has also been confirmed as her running mate.

A statement signed by the Geneal Secretary Suleman Seidu said the crucial decision marks a new chapter in the PNP’s mission to deliver transformative leadership for Ghana.

Ms. Janet Asana Nabla, with her extensive experience in public service, healthcare management, and political leadership, is deeply committed to the principles of gender equality, economic independence, and social justice. As the first woman to serve as General Secretary of a political party in Ghana, her groundbreaking leadership reflects her unwavering dedication to improving the lives of all Ghanaians.

Dr. Edmund Ayesu, a distinguished academic and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Social Science Research at Kumasi Technical University, complements the ticket with his expertise in applied econometric modeling, policy development, and civic engagement. His alignment with the PNP’s vision for a prosperous and just Ghana further strengthens their campaign.

The NEC’s decision demonstrates the party’s strong belief in Ms. Nabla and Dr. Ayesu as the ideal team to lead the PNP in the upcoming election.
