President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has congratulated the UK President Boris Johnson for the electoral victory in the just-ended general elections in UK.
Boris Johnson secured an emphatic victory in the UK election held last Thursday with the Prime Minister’s Conservative Party winning a majority of seats in Parliament and a mandate to fulfill its campaign pledge of “Getting Brexit Done.”
In a tweeted message, President Akufo-Addo said: “Warm congratulations @BorisJohnson on your decisive, historic win. We have an opportunity, together, to renew and strengthen the relations between our two countries, focusing on enhancing trade and investment, and scaling up prosperity for our peoples.”
“The common democratic aspirations and values of our two nations provide us with a strong platform for going forward. The Ghanaian people and I wish you the very best of luck and lots of success in the future.”
