President Akufo-Addo, says the breaches of the COVID-19 protocols at some constituencies in the just-ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries is regrettable.
In a release congratulating the one hundred and sixty-eight (168) newly elected parliamentary candidates of the NPP, the President commended all party executives, delegates and aspirants for the peaceful, credible, and efficient manner in which the elections were held.
The primaries of last Saturday (June 20, 2020) saw the election of candidates in constituencies where the party has a sitting Member of Parliament.
He said the enthusiasm and camaraderie generated amongst party members are a clear indication of the collective commitment of the rank and file of the party to retain power in the December 2020 polls.
The President who is to be acclaimed as the NPP’s flag bearer for the forthcoming elections encouraged those who were successful, to reach out and bring on board their fellow aspirants.
The President urged party faithful to support their parliamentary candidates to record, again a decisive victory in December.
