The Speaker of Parliament, Prof Mike Ocquaye, has condemned comments made by a foreign diplomat in Ghana.
The diplomat was reported to have said, instead of focusing on Ghana beyond aid, government should be looking at Ghana beyond corruption.
Prof. Ocquaye said such comments tend to make mockery of government, describing it as a tragic development.
Prof. Ocquaye is also lamenting the attrition rate in Parliament.
He said measures must be put in place to protect experienced and hardworking MPs, so as to make the Institution of Parliament better and stronger.
