Retain NPP for more development projects – President Akufo-Addo tells Volta Region

President Akufo-Addo has reiterated his determination to turn around the political fortunes of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Volta Region to change the voting pattern in the region.

He said within the nearly four years of his administration, the Volta Region has received its fair share of  national development hence the need for the NPP to be retained in power for more development projects.

President Akufo-Addo was speaking at separate rallies at Afife and Dzodze in the Ketu North Municipality.

He urged the people of the Volta Region to vote for him based on his track record as President which he said, is better than that of  the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.

At Afife, the Paramount Chief of the area, Togbui Adrakpanya appealed to government to convert the Ohawu Agricultural College into a fully fledged Agriculture University.

President Akufo-Addo gave the assurance that the necessary measures will be taken to provide their request.

President Akufo-Addo later inaugurated the newly built Ketu North District Hospital at Wheta.

The facility has an ultramodern eye clinic, dentistry, pharmacies, laboratories, theaters, accident and emergency unit, maternity block, among others.

The President will today (October 21) head to Oti Region where he will inspect ongoing construction of the Nkonya-Kwamikrom road at Nkonya in the Biakoye Constituency, the Jasikan-Dodi-Pepeso road in the Buem constituency, and the Nkwanta North-Nkwanta South road in Kpassa in the Nkwanta North constituency.

Later in the day, he will cut the sod for the Regional Directorate of the Youth Employment Agency at Yabam.
