Speaker Alban Bagbin has emphasised the importance of Ghanaians being active citizens, rather than passive spectators, in the country’s development.

“Today, Ghanaians are now more spectators than citizens. I think you have to wake up and become the citizen that he called us to be.

That is where I’m moving towards. I don’t have any ill will or malice. No, I don’t have any ambition,” he added.

Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, who spoke to the media in Accra, emphasised his commitment to accountability, citing his oath and personal faith.

“I take full responsibility for my decisions, and I’m answerable to my Creator,” he stated.

Mr. Bagbin’s remarks underscored his dedication to transparency and integrity in Ghana’s governance.

“This is not about personal interests or ambitions; it’s about serving the people and upholding the Constitution,” he added.
